Dr. Robert Goodman is internationally recognized as a vascular specialist in the treatment of varicose and spider veins. He has dedicated his life to treating patients with vein and arterial disease.
Dr. Goodman is a Vascular Fellowship trained, board-certified surgeon practicing Vascular Surgery in Western Massachusetts for over 25 years. He graduated from the Chicago Medical School in 1977 and completed his Vascular Fellowship in 1983. Included in his surgical residency was a 6 month rotation in London, England studying advanced varicose vein treatments. Dr. Goodman has the most professional designations of any Vascular Surgeon in Western Massachusetts.
Dr. Goodman’s unique and clear understanding of the complexities of the vascular system, allows him to create a customized, comprehensive treatment plan that suits each patient. 2012 American Venous Forum Annual Meeting, Orlando, Florida
Dr. Goodman attended the invitation-only, internationally recognized meeting of the world’s leading vein specialists, from Feb 8-10, 2012.) World-wide leaders in the field of phlebology (vein disease) presented recent research focusing on deep vein thrombosis (clots) and chronic venous insufficiency (swelling and vein disease). High mortality rates with those afflicted in the United States continue, and the presentations focused on prevention, awareness, accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.
